      The Horus Heresy is an ongoing series of science fantasy set in the fictional Warham setting of tabletop miniatures wargame company Games by several authors, the series takes place during the Horus Heresy, a fictional galaxy-spanning civil war occurr years prior to the far future of Warham The war is described as a major contributing factor to the Authors: Various (List of authors). After reading the Forgotten Legion, I flew through this book. Since the majority of backstory and character development took place in the first book, it opened The Silver Eagle up. One of my complaints about the first had to do with the time frame and breadth of backstory that needed to be covered and the skipping of numerous years between /5().

      This was a fitting ending to the series of Forgotten Legion books, most loose ends tied up and it sees the fruition of story lines started in books 1 + 2. The characters remain interesting and you are keen to know how their respective lives play out. A good mix of true fact from history and artistic licence ensure the book whips along covering /5(). The final book in the Forgotten Legion series by Ben Kane is another great read. Kane cuts a vivid tale at breakneck speed that will keep you turning pages until you have finished and wanting more. His passion for the time period shines through in all of his books/5().
